I don't who sings it or what the lyrics are, but I know how the tune goes (and obviously, that's not going to be of any help). It's from an episode of "The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air" where Uncle Phil and Viv break up, and then they go to a club after to make up. There's a guy singing on stage, and Carleton says he's singing it all wrong and then goes up on the stage and starts singing. What song is he singing and who is it by?
 
It's not a rap song or anything. It sounds kind of like a Tom Jones song, but I don't know for sure if it is or not. It's none of the ones you've listed so far.
 
I didn't see the show, but there was an old Neil Sedaka song called "Breaking Up Is Hard To Do" which would fit with the Carleton character. You can check it out here . It has an audio feed to it.
