Been encountering this strange problem for a while now and I just can't seem to figure it out. I hear a light buzz whenever I move my mouse around and when I'm scrolling, any video or tv tuner I'm watching stutters and breaks up momentarily.

Also, I don't know if this is related but I can't use my mic for any vonage or google talk programs. As soon as I try to use any voice messaging and strong feedback noise comes on regardless of mic volume. It continues to stay that way till restart. Mic works fine beforehand.

If someone can please help me, I would really really appreciate it. Thanks so much.

Running all latest drivers.
AMD Athlon 64 3200+ (939)
Asus A8N-E
ATI x800 XL
1 gigabyte of hyperx Kingston (2 x 512 not running in dual channel)
2 x 160 Sata
2 x 160 Pata
none in raid
Tested with 3 different mice, used usb as well as PS/2
Currently using Logitech G5

Had similar problems running windows xp 64 and in Media Center 05

Someone had this bizzare issue a couple of months ago, turned out to be the mouse itself.

Crazy idea: Maybe some sort of IRQ conflict? Check all your BIOS settings, especially those relating to IRQ, Mouse, Audio, etc.

How do I fix IRQ problems? How do you even know when something is conflicting?

Thanks a bunch, i'm so confused...

I haven't had IRQ problems since Windows 95. Getting a sound card and modem to work at the same time was often a pain in the ass on a weekly basis. Control Panel -> System -> Device Manager. I doubt that is the issue though but certainly worth a first look. Borrow a mouse from a workmate/schoolmate/cellmate/whoever.

Don't be, just go buy a new mouse, they're cheap!
