Please help memory quesitons! LAPTOP NEWBIE :(

I just purchased a Dell Latitude Xpi from a fellow member on here. The lappy arrived today in great condition and I am extremely happy about finally owning a laptop of my own. The laptop had 20MB of ram in it when I bought it. I removed the plastic cover to access the ram and the sticks are very small. It looks as if like a 1/3 the length of a 168pin DIMM that goes in a desktop. Is that a regular SODIMM for laptops? The memory probably has around 70-80 pins on it. Please help me out here, I am desperate🙁 I need to know the type of memory that is in it so I know what to upgrade with😀

It's an older style of SODIMM. My old and crusty 166MHZ Dell laptop takes the same stuff. Current SODIMM modules are 144-pin, this is 72-pin.
