Please help. Mem Question

I just recieved my new mem. It's Micron PC-133 256meg (2 sticks).
My process is an Athlon 1.2/266
After the install of the new mem my bus speed is reading 100 mhz as apposed to 133. Is there something in the BIOS that I need to change.
During POST the BIOS sees the mem as pc-133, so i'm stumped right now.
Is everything correct, or am i missing something.

Thanks

It depends on where the controls for your FSB are.

If they are jumpers on your mobo, make sure they are set correctly.

If they are set via the Bios, set them correctly (133). Should be under 'FSB' or 'Frequency' menu or something similar.

Hope that helps.

I'm at work right now. I'm getting the online manual for the mobo.
Now that u mention it. I think there is a jumper on the mobo to change from 100 to 133, even though it is a soft menu bios.

No Problem 🙂

On my latest system, there was a jumper on the mobo to choose between 100 and 133 FSB, then in the jumpermenu on the bios, you could overclock (ie: the 100 fsb went up to 133, and the 133 went up to 166..)

SO basically the onboard jumper should really be set correctly beforehand.

Glad you got it ok! 🙂
