I hear everyone talking about taking an ATi Radeon 9800non-pro and *flashing the bios* to a Radeon 9800Pro.

What does this mean? How do I flash the bios to a Pro?? I am very curious because I am about to take a step in a new direction by buying an ATi card rather than nvidia. ATi seems to keep pulling ahead and I would really love to get my hands on a wonderful piece of hardware

This is more than I needed. Now all I have to do is decide on the non pro or play the waiting game

take my advice, get the non pro. the next ati card will be the 9800 Pro XT, which is an EXACT same 9800 pro but clocked at 415/730 for $399. a 9800 pro can be EASILY had for $250, flashed to a 9800 pro and overclocked to 415/700. basically, if u get a XT, you will be paying an extra $150 for 30 mhz faster memory
