Please help me with my XP2000+

OK here's the deal. I bought an AMD 2000+ along with a MSI Kt3 Ultra motherboard. I setup the Front Side Bus to 108 and the mulitplier to 12.5. This is only getting me 1358 GHZ. Everytime I try and set the multiplier or the FSB higher the computer will not startup again after a reboot.

Does anyone have any ideas on this. I have no idea where to go from this point on.

By the way the voltage of the CPU is 1.74.

Please someone help me.

Most mobos have an issue with Multipliers higher than 12.5X, seems to be that they do not seem to be able to cope with the 8X Bit Value which in your case needs to be reset HI at 13X. In most other cases the problem exists for the default 13X XP 2100 and default 13.5X XP2200, where that 8X Bit Value "is" already HI by default and the systems won't post/boot until the 8X BV is manually reset LO. But then users only have control of 5X thru 12.5X, the systems lose 13X and up ( like you). Read about this issue at

Note that most users are content with 5X thru 12.5X as they oc the cpu via very high Host Clock settings which get them the benefit of high memory bandwidth. So we'd suggest you teake that approach also...IF your memory and other PCI systems can handle the higher Host Clock.
