Please help me with my new computer build.

My budget is around $1000 for just the computer; I've got everything else. So far it's about $20 bucks over budget, and I'd like to get it down more if possible, but I'm sure you guys will help me with that . So, without further ado, the system thus far:

ANTEC Silver Aluminum Performance 1 Series ATX Mid-Tower Case with Side Window Panel
$115

Seagate 200GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive
$132

NEC 16X Double Layer DVD±RW Drive, Beige, Model ND-3500A
$62

Leadtek nVIDIA GeForce 6600GT Video Card, 128MB GDDR3, 128-Bit
$197

AMD Athlon 64 3000+, 512KB L2 Cache, Socket 939
$161

Corsair Value Select Dual Channel Kit 184 Pin 1G(512MBx2) DDR PC-3200
$147

Cooler Master Real Power 120mm fan 450W Power Supply With Active PFC
$80

Together that adds up to $894, and as you can see, this isn't including the motherboard. The reason I haven't included one is because I'm not sure what to get; newegg has only 1 nForce4 motherboard in stock, which is $129, and when added to the components list, makes the grand total $1023. Anyways, I'm open to any suggestions whatsoever.

Thanks for your time.

If I recall most antec cases come with a powersupply, a good one at that.

This would be one of those rare instances where you could use the power supply with your case to save money.

If it does not come with one, look at the antec sonata, or just get a cheaper case and keep your currect power supply.

i don't know which to comment on, the setup or how useless some people are. and i don't mean the OP

my only main suggestion is don't get stuck on nforce4... you could get a kick ass nforce3 board for less which is already tried tested & true. nforce4 is still pretty new so it's not perfected yet and you won't get near the support here or anywhere else that you would with the nforce3 option. that sentiment is scammed directly from another thread which i read recently, but there it is so you don't have to search for it. 😉
