Please help me understand my speedfan readings

Hit the 'configure' button, look at the 'temperature' tab, does it give more info there about that 'core' reading you have?

Time for me to update mine, I've just noticed yours is newer than mine ;).

No it doesn't. In fact, it says that this "core" is in fact "nVidia Video Card" and the "GPU" is listed as a "GeForce Video Card".. Only "core 0" and "core 1" are listed as "intel core". I'm guessing my CPU is running at a good temp, but my video card is burnin' up? I cant see how this can be the case, since I bought it new, and it's not OC'd...

70C is reasonable for g80 because those old chips ran pretty hot.
Anything 60-80C is common. You may want to try ntune or rivatuner to up the fan speed because they are usually set to max out well below 100%.

Ah looks like you have 2 sensors for the GPU then, or it's been read twice, god knows why ;).

And yea like therookie says that's a perfectly normal load temps for a GPU, it was under load right?
