Hi, narrowed down to 2 boards...
Albatron Ti4200p Turbo 128MB DDR DV-i, TV-o, AGP4x
Leadtek A250LE-TD MyVIVO: 128MB DDR AGP4x w/TV-out, DV-i

both card are Ti4200 and for $275 CDN

Albatron can get a higher clock rate but it is too new ... but Leadtek is so famous ...

and i don't know 2's quality, 2d or 3d or tv... someone please clarify...

thanks

get the asus [155$] or gainward [157$] cards from newegg..agp4x 128mb 4ns RAM [~500mhz memory].
then you have the leadtek ti4400 for 185$. the 8x agp ti4200s are around that price too.
good luck!
id recommend a 9500 rather, esp. if youre gonna keep the card for some time.

are the cards u mentioned all Ti4200 128MB with or without VIVO? TV out?

mem: 500mhz = Ti4400?

He is from cananda, so he can not get one from newegg.

I have an asus ti4200, not too shabby, I am using the nvidia ref drivers on it, it runs fine I think:)

i need some Leadtek and Albatron users comments ar....

sc0tty8, u have Asus TI4200, how is it ? have u tried other brand like MSI or what...

so many brands, just can't decide which one to go for... heard from sharky that all the Ti4200 are mostly the same but don't know how mostly.

and because i don't upgrade that much, so i need to do this very carefully..

upgrade this and that can take me alot of money all at once... Sound, video, monitor, cpu, ram, moboard ....

faye,

according to tomshardware.com your speed cpu will not really benefit much from the high end vid cards compared to the mid range ones. and the albatron turbo is definetely close to the high end. i suggest you upgrade your cpu/mb/ram combo first. beacuse there is really no point of buying the Gforce2 cards anymore, but that seems like what your set up will top out at.

i am still hoping you would let me know where are you getting the cards for those prices. but if this is a private deal then don't worry about it. i guess i can always wait till after xmas, besides i only need a card because i want to play ut2003 :)

I may have to second the 9500pro you should see it in canada for your pricerange. And it has recieved some very good pre-production reviews... plus you would be able to use anisotropic filtering and anti-aliasing on it... The 4200 is good also and if ati still had bad drivers I would not even post this...
