Hi all:),

I need to change cooling for my ancient AMD 750 processor. The problem is that unlike many Athlons this particular specimen is a Slot A processor. Well, I could buy "Globalwin FRK50 AMD K7 Slot A" solution, but what I do not like there is that the part of it is 50mm, 6400rpm, 16.2cfm fan with noise level approaching 36dba.

I would like something quieter. But no 50mm fan I have seen approaches 16.2cfm:(. Is there any possibility to use bigger fans or no fan at all? What alternatives do I have?

Thanx in advance for help.

Kocur.

Perhaps you can attach the fans to a controller and control the fan speed.

My dad still uses a slot A Athlon 700 as an internet/office terminal. Its fast enough for IE, WP and Solitaire.
