PLEASE HELP ME SLAVE UP THIS HDD!!

ok, i am a n00b with hardware, and i cant figure out how to set this hdd to slave....Here is the hdd, you see where the white pins are.......thats when its set @ master. how do i make it slave? (bad pic best i could get rinow.....) please help. Sorry for dumb question.

it looks like the diagram above the pins lists a setting for "slave"

no?

remember that some drives will only work as slave when the other drive is set for master vice "single" (WD are almost exclusively like this)

so you might want to list the make model of both drives

LMAO at that picture!!!

That drive looks like it's an IBM. Set it to "16 head Slave" and you should be alright.

I cant get a better foucused pic, damn camera aint that good (should automaticly focus though, and it is a nice camera, Olympus CAMEDIA C-3000)

and yeah that is a lable above it........but it has lke 100 differnt diagrams........Device 1 slave, Device 2 slave.....i dont know which one to pick!

BTW this is a IBM Deskstar Model: DTLA-307060 (if that helps, its an older model)

Ah, umm, isn't that on the red label? I know the IBM drives are set with two jumpers, so just make the jumpers on your drive look like the jumpers on the diagram. I don't know what else to really tell you.

Are you having trouble removing the jumpers or something? I mean, even if you screw up the jumper settings you can't really destroy the drive, you just won't be able to access it in windows.
