Please help me set up file sharing

I have a linksys 54g router and a ibm t42 centrino

I want to share the entire hard drive between the two computers
I right clicked on the drive and enableled file sharing

can somebody give me a step by step explanation because I think I am doing something wrong

What OS do you have running on both computers?
If you have already enabled file sharing, you may still need to map a drive or use a UNC path for access. In win2k/sp, if would be something like:

Start -->Run-->\\<computername)\c$ to access your c drive.

hmmm installed sp2 on both machines and everything works great now
