Please help me remove Onedrive! Win 8.1

Okay I've tried several solutions including the ones Microsoft claimed would work.
What I have tried so far:
gpedit.msc (not on Windows 8.1)
Uninstall Onedrive.
Deleting the Onedrive directory.
Changing Onedrive settings and turning everything (syc, etc.) off

I fear I will have to manually go in and adjust the registry but was hoping for an alternate solution.

Even with Onedrive uninstalled, it still starts up.
With sync turned off, it still syncs.
Turning off saving files to Onedrive lasts until the next time I start up and then it turns itself back on.

Please help!
 
In 10 I just did a right-click on the notification icon, Settings, un-checked "start one-drive automatically" and no more one drive.
 
eightforums.com should have a guide to getting rid of unwanted apps like that. I honestly don't remember having Onedrive in Win8.

In Win 10 I just disable start on boot just like Ketchup described.
