I do everything with my computer, I'm a programmer by profession and I'm also a gamer. I also need colors to look good because I do a lot of design. I've had some really good experiences with having 2 monitors side by side so I was thinking of doing that. It's especially helpful for coding.

I've been looking at a lot of monitors but I need help deciding. I don't know too much about the Dell ones yet. Some that I've been considering are:

Viewsonic VX922 19"
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000CC...334?%5Fencoding=UTF8&v=glance&n=172282

Viewsonic VP930b 19"
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000B8...f=pd_bbs_1/104-3260885-9678334?ie=UTF8

Viewsonic VX2025WM 20.1" widescreen
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000EN...f=pd_bbs_1/104-3260885-9678334?ie=UTF8

The reason I wanted regular 4:3 resolution is because I was going to get two of them, but maybe a widescreen would be okay.

I think the samsung 204b is what you're looking for... you can get 2 for ~$540. It's got great specs... havn't had a personal experience.

That Samsung doesn't have a good refresh for gamers from what I understand. Anybody have experience with these Viewsonic monitors and have an opinion?

I have both a Viewsonic VX922 and a brand new Viewsonic VX2025wm. I used the VX922 as my main computer monitor since January, and just got the VX2025 a couple of weeks ago.

Both the 922 and the 2025 are outstanding monitors, but the 2025 is definately the best of those three, hands down. I would not go back to the 922 at all on my gaming computer. Games look spectacular on both monitors, but the higher resolution of the 2025 makes the games look even better. The color on the 2025 seems a little better to me, but not a whole lot of difference. I didnt get rid of the vx922 though, I still use it as a gaming monitor, for running my xbox360 in hi-def.

The response time on both of them is great for gaming, and I have never noticed any graphical problems on either of my monitors in the time I have had them.

Just sharing experiences with the two that I have owned, I do not know how the VP930b compares.

I think you can find the Viewsonic VX2025 cheaper on Newegg ($326 with free shipping?).

And yea, I'd go for the VX2025. It's my main monitor.

i just got the 204b and i think its pretty sweet for games, i dunno how to tell what spec is the refresh rate but the "ms" of the monitor is 5ms and i get no ghosting when i play. the viewing angles can be a bit weak but honestly i dont look at the monitor unless im infront of it and if i want to watch a movie from bed the sweet ass swivel function makes the viewing angle problem obsolete.
