Hi Folks:

I want a new 7.2 network AV receiver to Replace my Onkyo nr-609 which is Clunky to control and sound quality kinda sucks.

Most Important:
* Great Sound Quality
* Easy Setup/control
* 7.2 Preferred
* Networked (although I have a Panasonic bludisk player with wifi I can use)

I have a Panasonic Plasma st50, Polk Monitor 60's + center+2 small rear+2 polk subs -10'and 12'

I'm thinking of :

* 1) Yamaha RX-V673 7.2-Channel Network AV Receiver
http://www.amazon.com/Yamaha-RX-V673...6182815&sr=1-1

**I would use my Panasonic Blu Ray wifi for this unit.

*2) Sony STR-DN840 7.2 Channel 1050-Watt A/V Receiver (Black)
http://www.amazon.com/Sony-STR-DN840...6183030&sr=1-4

# 3 Sony STR-DN1040
http://www.amazon.com/Sony-STR-DN10...ceiver/dp/B00CAAJDP6/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top

Your Thoughts Please--You're My only Hope!!
I need to order today.

Thanks in advance!

I have posted my love of my new Denon E400 in another thread, but based on your criteria, and bang for the buck, I'd go for #2 - the DN840. I almost bought that one instead of my Denon. It has received numerous glowing reviews, "best value" awards, and is about as full featured and future proof as you're going to get for less than $800. I think you'll be happy with it.

The Yamaha would be #2.

The feature set of that Sony is pretty damn beefy for the price I must say. I know people knock Sony receivers but I had one for 13 years that was a damn tank. The only reason it broke was because I started using it outdoors and it got accidentally wet one night. I was pretty bummed about it because it was such a good receiver and build quality was just fantastic.

OP go with the 840. The price difference of the 1040 isn't really worth it for the 15w per channel and 4 more HDMI inputs.

Denon x3000 or the Marantz SR5008 is what I'd personally get. It doesn't appear that any of those listed has Audyssey
