Please Help me on a purchase =)

I just moved to California and had to drop a nice computer for an older one to help with money. I am currently running a Dell 933MHz P3 with 512mb RDRAM.

I need to upgrade my video card as far as I can and I was wondering what the best card would be for this computer?

I would really appreciate if the descriptions were detailed like: XFX GeForce FX 5200 or something along those lines.

Also, what video card would be the better choice between ATi and Nvidia.

To specify even further, I do indeed play games ranging from Counterstrike to warcraft3 and Far Cry. I am well aware that the video cards in my range will barely play these games at a low resolution but anything right now is better than a GeForce DDR 64MB.

Budget? Also, that P3 will really limit you in how far you can upgrade.

I am aware of the limitations with the processor. The budget is under or around 100$

check my sig, even if you don't buy a ti200 off of me i would recommend it. Or a ti4200 (not sure if your cpu is so much of a bottleneck it won't make a diff tho)

If you have an AGP slot, maybe look for a RADEON 9600 (not the 9600SE, the regular 9600), or a RADEON 9600Pro 128MB, or a used GeForce4Ti4200 or GeForce4Ti4600?

If you don't have an AGP slot, there's really only one choice: the RADEON 9100 PCI (AKA RADEON 8500LE). There are a *handful* of GeForceFX 5600 PCI cards out there, but they're generally hard to find and very overpriced.

8500 for $28 shipped. Spend the rest of your money on upgrading other parts, or better yet, to build a new pc when u get more money.
