I added a few adjectives to the title to get some people in here :) I amnot personally attracted to trees in that way, but others may be (let's keep that to ourselves).

Here is his photo (yes, it's male, or at least I prefer to think of it that way :)) --> tree
(careful, there is another tree in the background).

I have been trying to think of a good name for about six months now, and nothing seems quite right! He is about 18" and has long aerial roots forming that make him look like a banyan tree. I expect him to be very long-lived, so I want to make sure it's a good name!

Please give me your (serious) suggestions, nothing profane :p

Completely off topic, but you joined in July of 2001 and you already have 1550 posts!?!?! Holy crap....

<edit>

Oh, yeah. Yahoo! will only show me the thumbnail, not the full image. What's up with that?

Sorry I am not good at naming trees or pets but that is a gorgeous tree. What is it exactly and what kind of climate/location is it native to?

It is an arboricola, some form of Schleffera. It lives in all types of climates, even indoors if you are careful. This one lives in Hawaii but originated in Florida :)

degenerate -- what is "sicaz" :eek:

Not! The tree behind it and everything else you see are just several miles high ;)

Name it "tree"

Just like I'm going to name my cat spoon (don't ask)

I'm also going to name my dog "GoAway", just so I can confuse it...
"Come here GoAway", "Come here GoAway"
