Please help me identify this poem

All my grandfather can remember of it is something like "the woman was old, crippled, and gray / and walked with the chills of a winter day"... and that it's about a woman who says a prayer for a boy before she goes to bed at night. However, he's not sure of the exact words. It is his favorite poem he ever read, but it's been decades since he last did so. I would like to find it for him.

Any help appreciated... thanks.
