Right, these are all the things apparent on the PCB itself and any labels stuck on it.

Manufacturer : SIEMENS
Format : ATX
Chipset : Intel BX
CPU : Intel Slot 1
Possible reference numbers on the PCB : S26361-W10-Z2-02-36
S26361-W10-X-02

Possible reference numbers on labels : S279G4 950 9
: M225G4 950 11

Other :

1 COM Port
AGP Slot
5 PCI Slots
2 ISA Slots
2 USB
2 IDE (UDMA66)
3 168 pin DIMM slots

Any help would be appreciated.

;)

Another very useful piece of information (maybe the most useful) to give us would be the BIOS number/string that is displayed at the bottom of the screen when the motherboard is booted. You can then check at a page such as this to find what board you have.

EDIT: Here is a program you can run that might ID it for you, too. Got it off of the page above. As an example, this is the output from my board:

BIOS-Info, c't/Andreas Stiller, V. 1.5 10/00
Computer ID : FC, SubTyp: 02, BIOS-Level: 116
Rechnertyp : AT,typ ??, Konfigurationsbyte $70
Maustreiber : Microsoft kompatibel, Version: 08.00
Maustyp : InPort-Maus auf IRQ2
Bus : ISA
Hauptspeicher : 640 KB, davon verfügbar : 640 KB
Extended Memory : 1024 KB
BIOS Datum : 01/10/01
Award BIOS gefunden : Award Modular BIOS v6.0
Award ID-String : 01/10/2001-VIA-KT133-<A7V133>
Board/BIOS-Version : ASUS A7V-133 ACPI BIOS Revision 1001C
OEM : AsusTek
URL : http://www.asus.com + www.asuscom.de

Chipset : VIA
INT-13h BIOS Extension: nein

My guess would just be a generic BX motherboard. OEM or something, I've never heard of SIEMENS before..

SIEMENS is one of (if not the largest) electrical, electronic, and engineering companies in Germany and are all over the world.

stultus - The mobo is not up and running. It's sat on my desk in front of me. ;)

SerraYX - I think it was OEM. A freind gave to me. It was a Mobo out of a system at work.

Adul - Cant find one.

However, I have found another number which seems to be under the protective lacquer on the PCB. It's 1107 B11 1

Just wondering if I should build another system with this mobo in it! Got to get rid of some of this stuff. ;)

Why not? BX-boards a pretty stable, sturdy boards. The fact that it's ATA-66 means that it wasn't one of the first BX boards to be released, which is good. Is identifying this that important to whether or not you build a system with it? You'll be able to ID it easily once you boot it up.

stultus - Need to identify it so I can try to find the Manual. This will help me set up all the ATX Switches/HD LED cables etc and change jumper settings for CPU if it can't be done through BIOS. ;)

ddiccico - Hehe! spose it does :p

Bad - Mind you it did have a P3 400 in it with only a heatsink attached. No Fan! I've lost it though :( I think I gave it to a m8 thinking I would never use it. Hmmm!
