Okay, I have a brand new Abit Kt133a RAid MOBO, The southbridge is week 53, my 1 ghz is a week 3 purplish core. I have arctic silver on the processor and northbridge. However as soon as I overclock my fsb at all (i.e 134 or higher) It refuses to boot and I have to clear the bios. I want to cry. Please give me some ideas

Oh yea my bios temps (which I know are innacurate) are in the low 30's. I have an Alpha Pal6035 connected to an 80mm adapter which is stuck right into the stock shroud going out to the 92mm fan on the back of my fong kai 320.

What's your multipler? I assume you are being careful at choosing FSB with relatively low PCI speed?

Make sure you drop your multipler down a bit before you start cranking the fsb. multipler of 10 on a 1G is pretty hard to oc.

Did you do any burnin before you uped the fsb. Is that a new 266Athlon. Have you proven your 133 stabilty. Current chips prob. aren't going to to run at 133

Have you got decent RAM? sounds really weird. I can take mine to 145 Mhz when my ram concs out.
Have you got a kinky Harddrive try taking All Drives down by disabling UDMA in BIOS

Make sure that you don't select 133/44 in your BIOS. PCI bus just don't like to be that high. Back off your memory timings to the absolute slowest and see if you can get stable at higher FSB. Up the memory timing slowly if you are successful.

Who loves ya baby !! You might need to do more than just set it to CL3. Start at the absolute slowest, 8/10ns if I remember, and increase it slowly if you get stable. You might want to try just 1 stick as you test.

yeah be sure to use only 1 stick of memory. I had a 64mb stick, and I was able to overclock my 650 @ 728 with 112FSB setting on my Gigabyte GA-7ZX. But after I bought a 128mb stick, inserted it, my system wouldn't even boot at all. Not my FSB is at 108, clock speed @ 702. Stable, w/ 192mb ram, my memory is running at 100mhz. If I up the memory to 133MHz, my system won't boot at all.
