Is there a possible chance to find out infos of a 56K modem that my WinMe couldn't detected it ?
Does it mean my modem not working anymore? Please help me on this.

Thank you,

PS: I saw "Creative" word on two little chips on the modem. Is it belonging to Creative...?

I 'been down that road once or twice before. Antiqueboy, go to windrivers.com. They have some elaborate procedures that can (but don't always) allow you to establish manufacturer by the serial number or chip codes of your modem. You'll have to be patient.

Have you given your card a really good looking over to see if there are any names stenciled there? Once you find the Oem distributer, they very often will have a site that offers drivers. This is especially true of manufacturers in Taiwan.

just take any numbers you find on the board and do a web search, usually other people can't find their drivers also, then you should be able to identify the exact modem card you have, go to windrivers.com as the previous post said, and you in business. I found drives for so obscure newcomm modems in that way.

Windrivers.com has the very handy FCC ID search engine embedded into their advanced search page.

It's pretty rare to find a modem without an FCC ID, so check it for one, then take it over to Windrivers.com, and search. You should be able to figure out the manufacturer from there.

Or is there a model number silkscreened onto the back of the modem?
A model number might be identifiable by someone here.

Or how about telling us the entire set of numbers on the chips?

Is there a Creative Labs logo on any of the chips? That'd be a sure sign that Creative is the manufacturer.

Any other brands or names on the chips? You might be able to find a fully functional generic driver.

Ohh, I'm so sorry, the search engine said there's no such results.
I could read the text:

Modem Blaster DI3635-1/5655
.....
FCC ID: GX5USA-27261-PT-E
.....
P/N: 245-03635-10

I hoped I can download the driver for my modem.
I'm sure I have my patient.
Thank you,
