Please help me figure out why my my NTFS partition keeps getting corrupted.

I've been trying to troubleshoot my computer's problem for a week now. After a fresh install of windows, usually after I install drivers for my Radeon8500, CHKDSK finds errors on my NTFS partition. Here is my current CHKDSK readout:

C:\DOCUME~1\BRIAN>chkdsk
The type of the file system is NTFS.

WARNING! F parameter not specified.

Errors found. CHKDSK cannot continue in read-only mode.

In the past week, I've tried 2 motherboards (ECS K7S5A and MSI KT3 Ultra-ARU), 2 different Seagate Barracuda IV 80GB drives, and 2 different RAM configurations (512MB Mushkin PC2100 and 64MB of old SDRAM that I had around), and now today I exchanged my Radeon8500 for a new one.

The only constant in my setup has been the powersupply (Antec PP412X-400w) and the WindowsXP Pro CD. I've never had a problem with either, through lots of reinstalls and reformats.

My harddrive is currently partitioned with the WinXP Pro cd as a ~25GB primary and ~55GB secondary NTFS partition.

The problem is driving me crazy, and since I've switched just about every suspect component I'm starting to think there's a problem with my WinXP cd or the way I'm installing. Any help is supremely appreciated.

Before anything drastic make sure you update the Radeon Driver.

A new driver came out today that fixes many XP/Radeon problems.

It is HERE

Hope it helps🙂

Thanks...I'm downloading the driver now while running my primary partition as FAT32. So far so good with the FAT, but I haven't tried installing Homesite, OfficeXP, or the Windows Updates, yet....those are the 3 that have triggered my corruption if i had survived a driver update.

EDIT: Just got some corruption with FAT32...
