Please help me diagnose a monitor problem

I need to know exactly what is wrong with my Hanns g 22" monitor before sending it for warranty service link. There is a huge black dot ( about 4cm in diameter) on the upper left hand corner and it seems to be getting bigger and bigger by the moment. I'll try to get a picture of it as soon as my digital camera's program lets me transfer the picture from the damn thing.

Not sure exactly what would cause that - but it's definitely bad - send that sucker back.

I have no idea what it is for sure, but it kind of looks similar to the way an LCD panel will bleed pools of liquid crystal after shattering. Maybe there was some kind of small crack that's leaking liquid crystal now, or maybe the panel is slowly delaminating. In any case, it's on the way to destruction.
