What's wrong with chieftec,I heard good things about it.
How is fortron handling with noise and cooling?

toms hardware is crap. dont believe anything they say. They get paid to say that things are good when they arent.

fortron is the best brand that you listed,
enermax is also good
seasonic is great
pc power and cooling is great
antec is good
ocz is good

The Fortron would be my choice for older style mobos like that that needs hefty +5V rail and +12 being not so important. Actually Toms is one of the few sites that do decent PSU tests.

I really like my Fortron FSP 550-60-PLG-B supply. The Pc Power and Cooling supplies are about the same as these babies. I think they just add additional warranty stuff and maybe a couple of other mods to it. Mine allows 36 amps and it is barely audible with my rig. I thought it might be a little noisy but it just purrs along. Notice same fan and specs as PC Power and Cooling supply. And has PCI express connectors. I bought mine directly from Fortron Source. Thinking about buying another supply for my Intel rig.

In the ones you mentionned Fortron. OCZ and PCPower are much better but more expensive. But if you don't overclock go for the Fortron.

You can't get a decent 550W PSU for 40 euros - decent 550W PSUs are in the neighborhood of $100. here in the states. You don't need it anyway, 350W should handle your system quite nicely.

Fortron makes the best "bang for the buck" power supply's on the planet...Second place is way...And I mean way back there...In my humble opinion of course.

Not only do they have the best value...Fortron/Sparkle also have build quality that is second to none in the industry.

It is easily the best supply out of the ones you have listed.

Only one company makes what I would consider a "better" supply and that is PC Power & Cooling...Rumor control mill has it that some of their supply's are Fortron's that are built to PC Power & Cooling spec's.

They are the best...But twice the price better ???

I dont think so.
