Please help me choose a video card

Okay my needs are the best video card I can get for $250 or less.

My System specs are 2.4 Ghz P4 with 1 gig ram.
AGP slot ( no PCI express )

Current video card is ATI 9500 Pro

I dont care for ATI products but at the time it was the best I could get
without spending a ton of cash.
I have video crashes due to card overheating... I added a slot fan underneath
the video card.. it helped a lot but its still to hot.

The card I have in mind is a 6600 GT. Good choice or bad?
Also if I get the 6600 GT which manufacturer should I choose?

6600gt is great.
BFG is good
Leadtek is good and has a great quiet cooler but no lifetime warranty.

The 6600gt is a good choice for your system specs. Anything faster would be overkill imo.

which 6600? Here read and judge for yourself

I had a leadtech once and was pleased with it.
