Antec NeoPower HE 550?

or Silverstone SST50EF

That's a very basic setup, and so any basic and inexpensive 300W PSU should be more than enough power. I'm powering a Q6600, that same video card, a bit more RAM, 3 more drives, and a dual TV tuner in 300W.

Fry's has Antec Earthwatts 380/430. 380 was on sale last week for $20 AR. Either one should work. Haven't used one, but the components look good from the outside.

Why in NEW YORK Frys doesn't have stores, so bad. Just BB and CC and they mostly are selling TV's.

I'll throw in another vote for the SST50EF. I've been very impressed by how stable it is under load. Their "shorter cables" will still connect most everything in a mid-tower ATX and smaller.

I don't care for Silverstone's 1 yr. warranty on the SST50EF. If it's such a good psu why can't they back it up with good warranty like their 550W+ psu's? 😛 As GalvanizedYankee pointed out you can save $30 by going with the 5150GH.

Even though a quality 300W will power your rig there's no sense in spending $35-$40 for one when you can get a nice Seasonic built Antec EarthWatts 430 for $45 AR.

Even though the warranty is lacking, I'm sure the ST50EF-Plus or Enhance 5150GH will last for several years since they are extremely high quality psu's. The NeoHE is a modular Seasonic built psu, has 42A on the 12V rail (no OCP on the rails), a 5yr. warranty, and can output it's rated power (550W) @ 50C.

i mean im thinking of giving my current xclio to my little brothers' new build and getting the silverstone
