Please help me choose a graphics card

So today I went to see what my choices are and i had the choice of chossing a X850 XT or the Nvidia 6800GT now for me, it seems the X850 XT has some better specs but ive always relied on Nvidia, and i have to buy a new gaming case for the whole video card, but what do you think i should buy ? im buyinga new case with 550 Watt PSU and lots of fans and what not and Im just usually more comfortable overclocking the Nvidia and i think i could overlcokc it really well but im not so sure about the ATI. thanks for help
 
if price is an issue, get the 6800GT.

If you have the $$$ for the X850XT, then the ATI card will be the better choice.
