Dayton. Has anyone here ever heard of a girl named Dayton? I think it's the stupidest name I've ever heard of for a GIRL, and I hate it. Please tell me if you have EVER heard of a girl named Dayton, and note how it is spelled. My brother is going to name his daughter - my parents' first grandchild - Dayton, and I have to stop them... unless it's at least been heard of before.

According to the US Social Security Administration, Dayton has been around the 500th most popular name for boys over the past several years. They have no data on that name being used for girls.
