Hi, I just built my 1st pc and I haven't booted yet. I see a black and blue wire coming out of the psu(sl350) It has 2 wires, one black, one blue, and the connector looks the same as my cpu fan connector. Do I need this, what does it do?

that's the connector to control your Power Supply fan...find a second connector for it..

So the wire runs the psu fan? That seems odd, why wouldn't the fan be conected inside the psu instead of connecting it to the mobo.

There's two fans in that Antec PSU. One is controlled automatically. The second one is controlled by that blue/black fan connector. Supposedly you don't need that second connector hooked up to keep the PSU adequately cooled, but, I always connect it to something (usually the motherboard) in order to get maximize PSU cooling.

Any free connector would do, just don't use one that's going to something important like your CPU fan or chipset fan (if you got one). A friend of mind did that. Thankfully he was running with a Pentium chip and not an Athlon...
