Please help: Maxtor ATA100 PCI Adaptor Card Not Being Detected

hi i have problem with the card. it has some conflict against my Intel VC820 motherboard. but it works fine on other motherboards, just not this intel one. what can be the problem? because it just turns on but nothing happens, the screen just shows the Intel logo and that's it....it's not locked up though because i can reboot manually just fine. is there an issue that involves the card and VC820 mobo, or just Intel made mobos in general? thanks

suggest you try reseating the card in the slot & if that doesn't help then try putting it in another pci slot!

Try a different slot. I'd bet you have an irq conflict and that prevents the card from being recognised.
