We'll first off my system doesn't boot. I can get past "Verifying DMI pool Data ....." but right after I get a disk boot failure. But the thing is that it only happens about once every two weeks and lasts for about three days. It doesn't detect the hard drive even though the hardware is right. Another point-the HD just started clicking (head crash mabye) but not all the time when I boot up. How screwed up is this??
Also its not a memory or boot sector virus if it is a virus... I appreciate your help!

Sounds like hd going bad, sometimes it doesn't happen all at once, just a little at a time to drive you crazy. Use the diagnostic utility made for your hd to check the S.M.A.R.T. status. You will eventually get an error number to use on the RMA form. Might as well get a second hdd and use Drive Image to clone your C: drive while you are waiting for it to fail.
