by a gang of mutant mosquitos. So I'm out with my wife bike riding on a trail near our home, I had to stop to adjust my brakes and literally in less than 2 minutes I now have at least 8 bites. 2 of which are on my face and the rest on my arms and legs. What can I do to bring down the swelling or get rid of the poison? Thanks

No, this is not a joke to make you look stupid. Go to the grocery store and get Adolph's meat tenderizer. Make a paste of it with water, and apply to the bites. Works great for stings too.

Good thing you didn't need to stop and take a leak...

Don't think the wife would like you scratching your groin in public with her...

Yep, this is a good remedy. You can also substitute baking soda or so I hear.

Thanks for the suggestion, I don't have any meat tenderizer but I do have some baking soda

Chewing them off is the only way.

Lacking calamine lotion, that's a good alternative. :)

Pick up some BBQ sauce while you're at the grocery store, and after the swelling goes down, toss the affected limb on the grill (not your head - you'll need that for later).

I've been chewed enough today, those mosquitos had teeth like sharks

it is kinda unusual and weird but it works. i just scratch the skin off the top of them. then put hot sauce on them (burns like hell). but i works. they go away in a day or so

Well, they go away in a day or two without hot sauce. The hot sauce may replace the itch with a burning sensation, so if that's what you want, go for it.

I read the title of this thread and got all pissed off, "I wish people would quit beating the sh!t out of eachother...", only to open it up and calm down suddenly. (sigh)
