I managed to dig this up. Here's the link.

"I am having the same problem (not with my monitor but with the WIN95 RPC Wmsg Window error) and the problem is explained in the microsoft Knowledge base for DCom98, which is an upgrade from the DCom95. the installation of a new program may have overwritten the files that had been working well. Installation of DCom98 may solve the problem. The file is available from the following location: Also, I found out this information: hit "ctrl+alt+del" and check if you have something called "Whagent" listed. If this is present, then you have what's known as WebHancer. This is an infestation of your system and will usually install itself without you even knowing while you download certain programs (Winzip, Gator, etc). WebHancer is a 'backdoor' type of spyware that alters some of your critical Registry keys and causes a few problems in your system (and is most likely responsible for the "Win95 RPC Wmsg" coming up). It modifies your Windows Sockets configuration, binding itself to Winsock so that all packets are passed through WebHancer - in English, this means it's very naughty! If you simply try to uninstall/remove WebHancer, it will cause your system's Internet connection capabilities to break. In other words, there's a high probability of losing your ability to connect to the Internet altogether. SOLUTION: There is a great little program called "Ad-aware" - it basically helps you detect any nasty spyware files and will allow you to remove them all. Just follow the link below... http://download.cnet.com/downloads/0-10106-108-63806.html?bt.37419.10014..dl-63806 ...and click on "Download Now" once you get there. It's a completely free download, and super-quick (only about 880K) so will only take a min or two. Very easy to install also, simply follow the instructions once download is complete, and then run the program from wherever you've saved it. It will then scan your memory, registry and hard drives for any spyware components and let you remove them safely. Following that, the annoying "Win95 RPC Wmsg" message should disappear without trace, together with any other problems relating to it. Hope this helps! "
