Dear all,

my pc (Gigabyte p35C) with e6320 and 2 gig ram and 2 dekstar e500 works as a treat (booting) but whatever i try (drivers, ide mode ahci mode or raid) I everytime get the message: windows is unable to find a system volume that meets its criteria
Version Ultimate 64 bit
What can be the cause of this?
Please help
Bram

can you post a screenshot of the error message? and have you installed vista 64 or is this when you are trying to install?

Hello,

thank you for the help.
The message is during the install screen of windows 64 bit ultimate where you see the two disks and at the end of the page a yellow triangle with "windows is unable to find a system volume that meets its criteria". I can't make a screenshot since i'm writing this from my portable because i can't install the new pc 🙁
I can't do anything else and what i tried
- Put the sata disks (new from today) on other ports
- Put the sata disks on the gigabyte sata ports (2) in stead of the intel sata ports 5)

The harddisks are recognised during post and i can format them under windows install screen
Now one of them dissapeared in the windows install screen but still available in post-bios?

It's sad and late (here 3 o clock at night)
Bram

Thanks, i was in a panic but this morning things worked out fine after:
- disconnect drive 2
- used the utility on the vista dvd to make it active

Fingers crossed 🙂
