Please help, I can only host games..not join em...

Built a new rig(in sig), and everything running smooth...except online play. In any game I play smooth on singleplayer(BF2, UT2004, CS : S, HF2), but if I play online, I can only host. Because if I join online games, I stutter, I don't know why...but if I was the host, everything runs smooth. Please help Why is this happening? I have Bell Sympatico High Speed DSL....this problem only occurs on the new rig, my other comp on same network is fine.

Is it just with BF2? Because there were some issues with BF2 recently. I dont remember what they were. I think there's some patches for it out now too.

Also another guy had lag spikes, I forget what his the problem was though, but I think he got it fixed.

What kinda software is installed? Doing any uploads or bit torrents or p2p while playing? Any software firewalls?

No its with ANY online game, I have sygate installed, but I do allow all to try to get it to work, no good and I don't run any program when gaming, just the game itself.

The allow all might still be causing your lag spikes because it is still analyzing every packet (sygate). I would try disabling sygate altogether, along with any other network programs running.
