Burned in would be just that they have the components put together, and run it for maybe 24 or 48 hours, probably stressing it. I don't even know what a current "accepted" burn-in time is. Theory is that generally, if the basic components are going to fail, they will fail during the burn-in period. I would imagine that this cuts down on returns, as marginal product is failed before it is shipped. I don't think I've ever "burned-in" a pc that I've built on my own. Just slap it together and see what happens, cause I want to use it.
