Please help. How does a system lose stability for no apparent reason?

Ok so a few weeks ago I hard modded my XP 1900 to a 2200, and it ran Prime95 for 24 hours straight. I was pretty happy, but recently I have noticed that it isnt as stable as it used to be. I tried running Prime95 again, and it rebooted the PC after 10 minutes!!! The only thing that I can think of that might have caused a change in temps is when I changed the fan grill on my HS/F I might have twisted the heatsink a little and caused the AS3 to spread out in weird places. Can anyone else think of why my system might be less stable? Could it just be due to higher room temps (maybe 2 degrees F higher)? Thanks in advance for any help.

I'd guess something to do with AS spreading or something, try re-doing the thermal compound and see if that helps, plus have the CPU temps gone up at all, in whatever monitorin gprogram you have.

My guess would be heat or power....

1) reseat and reapply the as3...the 2c higher room temps is too moinor unless you were already os the edge...What are you idle and load temps???? Anything under 60c load I wouldn't worry about...

2) watch the voltage rails as this could be a sign the power supply is dropping its rails and starting to struggle....I have seen this a few times!!! Report the +12v,+5v,+3.3v and vcore rails at idle and load...

Well it is definetly a heat issue. When I was stable at 1.8ghz my system temps where 22c idle and 24c load, cpu was 33c idle 39c load. Now the system is 31c idle and the cpu is 43c. The room is only a few degrees hotter, and other than putting in a window I didn't change anything. I even cut a blowhole out of the window where my blowhole was in the case before, and I am using the same fans.

Vcore is at 1.85v in BIOS but the hardware monitor is jumping back and forth between 1.87v and 1.89v
+12v @ +11.86v
+5v @ 4.89v
+3.3v @ 3.15v

I am still yet to reapply AS3, as I think my system and ambient temps are the problem. Any advice?

>Any advice?

Do you have a filter? Maybe it is clogged?

Are all the fans spinning?

Are there small holes for some of the fans that may be plugged?

Are some fans temperature controlled? Maybe the sensor quit working or it is in a cool spot?

Did you dismount a fan and maybe mounted it backwards?

Is the PS fan spinning?

Yeah I already took off my filter but it didn't help. The only fan that is temperature controlled is the PSU fan, and it doesn't do much. My 2 120mm fans and my 80mm CPU fan are all working fine. The only thing that I notice is that my intake fan doesn't seem like it is sucking air in quite as well as my exhaust fan is blowing air out. But I am only going by the force I feel when putting my hand up next to the fans, so it may be normal.
