Please HELP!! Everytime I try to print to my Canon MultiPass C560, my computer freezes! (TBird 900 + Asus A7V133). HELP!

Title explains most of it guys,
I really need some help here...

Everytime i try printing anything, the Multipass Monitor Processes the print que, and then my computer COMPLETELY freezes.

System Specs.
Tbird 900 (default speed)
Asus A7V133 (bios v.1001C)
Maxtor 20gig
Sound Blaster Live Value II
D-Link NIC
Cheap 56k modem

I have tried re-intsalling windows 98se 3 times, from different copies --- no luck...
I am 100% sure it is not the coruptes software, since i have downloaded the Multipass software from the Canon site, still no luck.

The same printer with the same software works perfectly, on my other system.

Any insights are welcome!

whats the parallel port set to in the BIOS?

Also try upgrading the BIOS... 1001 was the release BIOS... they have 1004 out now. I'm not sure if it will help or not but its worth a shot.

is the printer USB? if it is that more than likely is your trouble. go here and try some of the things listed to resolve it
