Hello,
I scored this projector from work. Basically what happened is it worked fine for a couple years, hen one day turned on for 10 seconds, then turned off. Whenever it turns on, the green light goes on for 30 seconds, everything is normal, but no image and then the blinking red light which indicates "problem to power supply circuitry" according to Epson. The company bought a brand new bulb, popped it in, worked for 10 seconds again, then turned off. So work gave it to me for free, which is perfect seeing as how I am in the process of building a home theatre. I figure I can at least use it for a year even if it sucks until I can save up for a really nice one.

So, finding out from Epson's not-so-nice representative that it's out of warranty and that the closest shop to me that is certified to fix it is upstate NY (I'm in southern CT) I decided to open it up and try to fix it myself. BEing very familiar with computer power suppleis, I thought I might be able to spot what is wrong. Not so. No leaking or bulging caps, no burnt traces, etc. All fans are spinning, temps are fine, bulb is brand new. The damn thing just won't display a picture at all now, not even for a second.

So I'm totally out of ideas, I'd be eternally grateful if anyone could help me out on this as I don't have the cash to go out and buy a Runco at the moment. Even if someone could fix it for a fee or something, I would do it.

Sorry for the long post, and thanks for your time.

EDIT: Anyone know rougly how much it's worth and if it's any god for home theatre? The company said they paid about $6k, but through a distributer and a couple years ago.
