Hi all, im building a system with the Antec P180b and would like to use "THERMALRIGHT Ultra-120" for cooling my processor (e6600)

Will the " THERMALRIGHT Ultra-120 fit in the Antec P180b " ?

The P180 is a huge case. That being said I do not know of any HSF that will not fit. So yes your Ultra-120 will fit. I am using the case with a Zalman 9500 (about the same size as the Ultra-120) and have loads room left.

i have heard zalman 9500 is the way to go also.

But the thing is heavier than the recommended 480 grams. You are not to move this i have read.

With a statement like that ..how do you find yours?...Is it drooping off the motherboard.
I would have to move it from the computer store to my house :)

to the originial poster..what made up your mind about the p180b??

I have the 9500. It comes with an extra back supporting plate. I feel that it's no worse really than the stock cooler as far as weight. the difference is minor. now things like the Scythe infinity scare me. I would say just be carefull in how you move your computer around & realize that almost any higher end HSF unit will add a bit of a cantilever effect to your MB. I personally am happy with my 9500 & not a bit worried.

Zalman 9500 is 5 inches tall. The Thermalright Ultra 120 and Scythe Infinity are 6.25 inches tall.
