Please help me.. My computer:
Abit Bx2
C2 566 (not overclocked) with a Golden Orb
64m(2x32) pc66 memory (128 pc100 died)
20gig maxstor u66
Ati Rage Fury Pro (agp 4x)
Network card

Keeps turning off! Btw: the case is off, so I dont think it is due to heat. Also I have replaced power supplies and that did not fix it. It only happens when I leave the room. I Sh*t you not. I have waited in here for 40 mins and it will not go off until I leave the room for like 5 mins. hehe Anyway, does anyone have any ideas of what might be going on here? This is my primary machine and I need to get it going, so PLEASE help!

thanks:confused:

Disable all power management in BIOS and in 'control panel'.
Its possible system is trying to go into 'standby mode'.

I have the same problem with my BE6-II and Celeron 566/Golden Orb. Actually, it reboots itself without warning. I thought it was a heat problem on the hard drive, but apparently not since I fixed it... And it sounds like it wasn't the power supply for you...

I see, so its probably slocket thing. What slocket are you using?
I guess vcore is set to default voltage. Increase it by 0.1 V and you should be ok.
BTW its always better to regulate voltage from a slocket rather than from BIOS.

Sounds like you have a little brother! If you dont see it turn off in person I wouldnt blame the computer quite yet. I think you need to get a bag of chips and a soda and sit very quietly in the corner of the room and watch what the computer does. On a serious note. Is it possibly the outlit? Is it wired to a switch in the room. Try plugging in a clock to the same outlit and see if that is off when you come back into the room. Good Luck. (And remember to interigate your little brother) ;)
