please help choosing a power supply.

I purchased a video card for my computer and from what I gather I need a better power supply.

My computer:
antec 1080amg case with 430watt PS (Pretty old with 1 20 amp 12v rail)
shuttle ab60r motherboard with 1 gig ram and p4 3.4 (I think northwood)
2 dvd rw drives
1 250gb hdd
soundblaster audigy 2 platinum
bfg 6800 oc agp
Occasional I use an external fire wire/usb2 HDD, card reader and scanner.

New video card is HIS x1950pro turbo agp ( I hear the card needs 30 amp 12v)

So what do you think would be a good supply for this setup?

Also long term plan for the computer will probably be a media server. So I might actually use the raid and add 4 hdd.

Right now newegg has
$50 Antec True Power Trio TP3-550
$45 COOLER MASTER eXtreme Power RP-650
$70 CORSAIR CMPSU-450VX

frys has on sale
$80 COOLER MASTER Real Power Pro RS-650

I would think 500w would be more than enough. Should I wait for a better sale? Thanks for any help.

Actually, for a single X1950, a 430W would be enough... IF it wasn't "pretty old"

Also, I'd suggest price shopping outside of Newegg for PSU's. Newegg works on a loss-leader type of business model and it aint the PSU's they're losing with. 😉 Use Froogle and you'll find that Provantage, ZZF (w/ free freight even!) and xPCgear are typically the cheapest and they all provide excellent service.

If you have to go B&M, Fry's is definitely the way to go, and I know they have more than just Cooler Master.

Thanks for the reply. I popped in the cooler master real power pro 650w and the Power supply is very nice!!

I plugged in the HIS x1950 pro turbo card and it works ok. The video moves sort of choppy. I had installed the drivers that came with the card. I am downloading updated drivers and hopefully it will be clear up.

Performace kicked up from 3000 (at yougamers) to about 5250. I was hoping for a bit more, but maybe new drivers will help. I think the card has some issues with 3.0 pixel shader and/or open gl(at least thats what yougamers say).
