Please help build a system for around 2000 bucks

You can buy a lot for 2000 bucks. Obviously get an Athlon XP, what speed is up to you. For a video card, I'd say either go with the Geforce 4 Ti4600 or Radeon 8500... but if you have 2000 bucks, might as well splurge on a All-in-Wonder Radeon 8500DV.

With 2000 bucks you can afford an Asus board 😛

Ah really, I don't know... what are you planning on using your system for? Gaming, multimedia, etc...? need more info

Is that with or without monitor? Cuz you could get a 40xcdrw, cdrom, floppy, iwill xp333-r, amd athlon xp 2100+, 2 x 120gb WD hd's with 8mb cache, gainward gf4 ti4400, 512megs of ram, and an antec 1040b for around 1800 bucks. Go to Newegg and build one. I just built the above system for a friend to figure out how much it would cost at Newegg, I'm going to actually build it in a week or two.
