Please help: BIOS can detect Sandisk ReadyCache SSD but Wins 7 can't.

I just got my Sandisk ReadyCache SSD today. Very excited! Installed it in the spare hard-drive slot in my laptop (G50VT-X5). Then I went in BIOS and the SSD was there. So far so good! However, once in Windows, I could not find the SSD anywhere: Device Manager, Disk Management, Disk Part.

So I have tried these things:
1. Went in BIOS and switched the SATA configuration from "Enhanced" to the other 2 options: "Compatible" and "Raid". Both of those gave me BSOD. Couldn't boot...

2. Tried to install Intel SRT 11.2 which I heard works. Windows refused to install it, claiming the driver is already up to date and is functioning properly.

3. Spend another hour looking for solutions on Google. Most people who had similar problems could actually see their SSD somewhere either in Device Manager or Disk Management. Mine is simply nowhere to be found.

Any good ideas on where I could proceed from here?!

Make sure the drive is enabled to be seen within the BIOS settings.

Also check the system section of your event lo for any disk-related warnings or errors.

1. If you using MS' drivers, you should be able to boot with the "compatible" setting (why do they have to name them like that?!). If you are using Intel's, I'm not sure.

2. There is no install for SRT. There is one for RST. If you already have 11.2, then that would be correct.

You should just download ExpressCache. It will see it. Right click computer, click manage, storage, disk management. It should be there. Don't format it or expresscache won't work.

Just use the ExpressCache software. I am using a Sandisk Readycache. It is partitioned and formatted in a way that is not mountable in Windows, but in a way that the software software can use it. If you didn't want to use it as a disk cache, you should have just got the plain SSD instead of the Readycache version.
