**PLEASE HELP, ATI ALL IN WONDER VIDEO CAPTURE***

Hi guys,
could u please help me sort out a prob....tryin to capture mpeg out to vhs (i in u.k. so PAL), have connected up via diagram but tv software sayin:

"video device not detected, check drivers"

i using ATI wdm bt829 can any1 plz help, with what is up.

just re-checked msg and it says:

"the tv player failed to initialise video"

oh and all of the other ati software on there works fine.

First what drivers are you using ?

then try to go back to the drivers you had previously. Fixing this "for some" can be a real pain in the ass.

If you old drivers (the ones you had previously) didn't fix it.

Remove everything ATI, software, drivers, eveyrthing, if you can - clean your register of ATI - reboot.

reinstall DX8.1 and reinstall the your older drivers (the ones you had before this happened). see if this fixes it. In some cases it might, or it might not.

If it doesn't fix it. Again, remove everything ATI, software, drivers ect. Uninstall IE and reinstall IE, Windows Media Player, DX8.1 and your previous ATI drivers, then MMC software.

if this doesn't fix it, I dont' want to tell you what to do next.

For some simply doing a repair on MMC will do the trick for others, reinstalling DX8.1 for others NOTHING short of a format. Good Luck.
