Ok this is really starting to annoy me. I have followed the instructions in the manual and still I can?t get the RAID drivers to install.

I am trying to install two WD raptors in a RAID 0 using the NVIDIA RAID config.

I have installed the SATA drives into the NVIDIA slots on the motherboard, labeled SATA 1 & 2.

I have entered the BIOS, selected on board devices config, NVIDIA config and set RAID to enable. The succeeding items became available and I selected ENABLE the first and second SATA master drives. Saved all changes then rebooted.

I then pressed F10 during POST and created a RAID volume selecting Striping and optimal. Used tab to select both drives so they appeared on the right side of the screen. Then I pressed F7 to create RAID set, then Ctrl-X to exit.

I installed the RAID drivers onto a floppy by browsing the CD, it took some time to install the files onto the floppy. I then went to install windows, pressed F6 to add the drivers. When the screen appears <none> is displayed as the list of selected mass storage devices. I press S insert the floppy and get the following message:

?The disk you have specified does not provide any relevant support files?

PLEASE HELP!

Good thread above. You aren't making the right raid driver disk. There is two of them on the asus cd, one for the SI raid controller, the other for the nv controller. Easier to take the asus cd and stick it in another computer that contains a floppy drive. Let the disk auto load and the gui menue has an option to make an NV raid driver disk.

If you browse the asus cd, there are two "makedisk" utilities for creating raid drivers on a floppy. The easy one to find is for the Silicon Image raid controller, the hard one to find is for the nVidia raid controller. It's located in the Drivers/Chipset/WinXP_2K/Driver Disk--->MakeDisk.
