they keep asking me for my password for my site, they are trying to hack me, they sent at least 5 emails requesting my password and i need them to stop so could some one send a POD to them

151.196.33.31

hacking is not asking. hacking is tapping on your shoulder and letting you know that you best get on up out of your chair because your pcs sure as hell won't respond to any more of your commands.

Yeah, that is not uncommon for the internet. Just blacklist the address and get on with life.

a) Those emails may not be coming from where you think they are
b) Many viruses, worms, trojans, phishes, etc. are sent by "hacked" computers, whose owners have no idea they are sending them.

In short, it's very likely that attacking a computer at IP xxx may be an attack on an innocent person. No hacker worth his/her salt would send an phishing email directly to you from his/her own computer or mail server.

If you were dealing with a hacker, you wouldn't be here right now. You're probably dealing with a script kiddie.

To aceoftheskies05,

While I agree that you are getting phished not hacked, it still may be a clue that they are out to own you---and also a wake up call to check and see what if anything else they have hacked you with.---if they had you completely hacked---they would not ask for your password--they would already have it.--and already own you.

So I would be looking to bulk up on security---which starts with a software firewall, AV, anti malware programs, and some process control. Run various scanners for anything known, post a hijackthis log, and get anything they or anyone else put on your computers.

Sometimes this is the work of kids playing around---but when you deal with more vicious types--or even kids---ya godda stop them in their tracks.---by cutting them off cold turkey.
You may not catch them---but you can send them looking for easier game.
