**please give opinions**- i am getting a GEFORCE 4 TI4200 128 MEG video card and want to know what drivers is best

i am running windowsXP and have heard that there is a refresh rate problem with it and want to know if it has been fixed yet. also need some sites that have tweakers and such for geforces, been awhile since i owned a geforce thanks

Use the beta Detonator 40.72's from nVidia's website. They claim to give up to a 25% performance increase. Go to Voodoo Files. They have alot of nVidia stuff. Also, get ReFresh Force. It'll allow you to choose your own refresh rate for all resolutions.

I still prefer the official Nvidia 30.82 drivers for image quality and stability.I`m using NVRefreshTool 2.0 for the refresh fix,works with 40.xx drivers as well.

I tried the refresh rate fixes before...only to find out that this ancient monitor caps at 60hz anyway...I'm using a Packard Bell monitor from my old p100, because my 15in hp that is only 2 years old stopped showing certain color and is very dark(which is VERY bad for gaming), anyone have any idea what's wrong with that one?

The 3082s worked great for me on my Ti4600.
