Go to your IE Advanced Options tab and disable script debugging.

DannyBoy, I apologize greatly for using your thread to post my problem, but my problem won't allow me to create my own thread, so I'm at a loss. Plus, your thread name fit my problem :)

I hope you understand. If not, feel free to delete this post.

As for my issue, it seems to be related to the forum Javascript. When I click on a button that uses javascript (Reply, Quote, New Thread, etc.) nothing happens. I can still reply through Quick Reply, but I can't do anything else, and it's getting quite annoying.

I'm using IE 6, and have all Javascript choices in Internet Options turned on. Perhaps I need to use a different browser?

Thanks for helping a newbie, guys.

Tusce, don't know if Firefox will solve you're problem, but it's definitely worth changing over. And if it solves your problem then ;)

Interesting..... I am using IE6 and I haven't had any problems..... EXCEPT the forums being partially down. Hope you get your problem fixed. Maybe try reinstalling?? you can download IE6 SP1 from microsoft.com I believe.
I'm tempted to try out firefox too..... I heard it is better than IE but I'm not sure yet

Do you have the same problem with other websites, say doing a search from Google? If so, try http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/troubleshoot/ and look for "General Troubleshooting for Scripting Errors"

Hope that helps!

Actually, Google and everything else work fine. I tried turning off my firewall, but that didn't help any. Interestingly enough, buttons on the forum like the "Search" button work fine. It's just a random few that my computer doesn't like.

The ones I've noticed so far are: the "View avatar" button in the profile, "Create New Thread," "Reply," and "Quote." Am I right in saying that all of those invovle opening a new window through Javascript? That may have something to do with it.

I'll try to reinstall IE, but if that doesn't work, I'll just make do with quick reply until an answer turns up. I've never been much of a thread-maker anyway.

Thanks for the support, everyone.
