I lost my Win 98 boot disk, but still have the cd. I need to format the hd and do a clean install of windows. Is htis possible? This is my last time suffering through dll hell, after I get this hd set up with windows, i'm gunna buy a nice new one and go linux only.
 
go into your BIOS and enable your system to boot from the CD only and you should be ok.
Of course, have your Win98 CD in the drive 🙂
 
"You can create one from any Windows 98 system."
Just make sure you also include the cd rom drivers, mscdex.exe or something like that. Not all boot disks do.
